Cape - August 1999

In 1999 we decided to go and see the flowers in the Western Cape. We had heard about the flower displays and looked forward to seeing what we might see. Since then we have been to that area a number of times but for us the display we saw then has never been equalled. On the way we visited Augrabies Falls and the Kalahari Gemsbok Park.

The cameras at that time were not as good as they are today but still we are happy to have captured many of the moments we enjoyed.

We took lots of pictures and went to lots of places.

The pages below contain some images just so we can remember where the pictures were taken. Otherwise we would have no idea where the pictures were taken.

The splits in the pages are relevant to us but probably not to anyone else.

People who know the area will probably recognise where some of the pictures were taken.

The trip really started at Kuruman at the Eye and from there we went back and forth along the routes we followed looking to see what we could find. We found quite a lot.
